It was there from the start, an English full stadium at full cry and ready to inflict on the opposition the havoc referenced at the beginning of that Shakespeare quotation.
E uropa League winners for the last three years, Sevilla are one of the best teams in Europe when it comes to cup football and they ended in disarray, with manager Jorge Sampaoli dispatched to the stands shortly after his team went down to 10 men with the dismissal of Samir Nasri.
T he Frenchman, on loan from Manchester City, went nose-to-nose with Jamie Vardy and the Leicester striker made the very most of it, reeling backwards as if butted.
It earned both of them a booking, which for Nasri was the second of the game and he knew from the moment it happened that he had been conned by his English counterpart.
Of course, Vardy did not make it all the way out of non-league without earning some tricks along the way and the first thought that occurred was that this is a trick for which English players have been falling for generations.
They made the game intimidating and claustrophobic as they did in their best days under Ranieri last season and, in the goals from Wes Morgan and Marc Albrighton, they took their chances.
As for Ranieri, he was remembered too by Shakespeare afterwards who paid tribute to the first-leg performance when asked about his predecessor by an Italian journalist.
By the full-time whistle, it felt a long time since the sacking of Ranieri. English football has a glorious underdog in the last eight of the competition and while it all feels improbable, nothing should be considered impossible.
T hat was the free-kick from which Leicester created their first goal on 27 minutes although before then the striker had chased down Nicolas Pareja and blocked a routine clearance that ricocheted off the Sevilla man and went out for a Leicester throw.
They loved that in the King Power because it was a reminder of what the team did best last season. The goal began with that free-kick won by Vardy on the left side.
Riyad Mahrez and Albrighton stood over it, offering left foot and right foot options. A fter half-time Sergio Escudero struck a sweet shot against the Leicester crossbar on 53 minutes and Wissam Ben Yedder made a big mess of the rebound.
It is moments like these that make a team believe they can prevail. Nasri was dismissed on 74 minutes, and knowing that he had fallen into the trap set for him by Vardy, who started the confrontation with a push, was reluctant to go straight off the pitch.
W ith Sampaoli off minutes later, Mahrez laid on a great chance for Vardy on the counter-attack in the 88th minute.
The English striker has worked as hard as any other and in on goal he could not keep his composure. So frustrated was Vardy with his miss that he punched himself repeatedly in the face, although from a metaphorical point of view, Leicester stopped doing that three weeks ago.
K asper Schmeichel says he had not saved a penalty for three years until he saved one in the first leg, Now he has saved two in three weeks.
T here have been some helter-skelter games across this round of the tournament full of goals, but that as a classic display of two-legged pragmatism from Leicester.
They knew they could not compete with Sevilla for quality and technique, but knocked them off their stride in the first half with high pressure and then sat back and soaked up pressure in the second half.

Schmeichel comes out and clears a long ball when Vitolo was threatening to get there. F our minutes added time for Leicester to negotiate.
T hat really should have been it. Mahrez drives forward from the halfway line and had Vardy for company in a two against one situation.
Mahrez keeps up his end of the bargain and lays him in, but from just right of centre, 15 yards out and just the goalkeeper to beat, he blazed week.
Punches himself in the face repeatedly in response. S limani looked like he was about to round the goalkeeper for a tap-in, but Rico just about got there.
Sevilla need an Andres Iniesta at Chelsea type moment. L eicester should have sealed the deal there. P eter Schmeichel was celebrating in the stands as his son Kasper pulled off some of the European heroics he was famed for at Manchester United.
Sevilla keep pouring forward but Leicester are nearly there. The officials are run of their feet here: Ndidi is booked for a stray arm while Sampaoli has been sent to the stands for touch-line histrionics.
T he Sevilla manager has said too much and Daniele Orsato orders him from the dugout. W eak penalty from Nzoni, but the Leicester goalkeeper got down low to his left to save quite comfortably in the end.
Definite contact, but surely the ball had already been played? There was definitely some gamesmanship from Vardy there.
He then goes full-on Joey Barton and goes back for afters, and appeared to offer Vardy out by pointing to the tunnel.
Eventually he is escorted down the tunnel and is off. S amir Nasri is sent off by referee Daniele Orsato for his second bookable offence.
W hat Leicester have done ever so well this evening is force Sevilla into wide areas. On one or two occasions they have worked it to the bar-line and threatened by more often than not they have tossed crosses into the box.
That was better though. Vitolo fed Correa in the right channel but his shot was beaten away by Schmeichel. C rowd furious with the ref for giving a foul against Slimani for catching Vitolo with a stray arm.
Sevilla launch the ball into the box, but Leicester will head away direct balls all night long. The visitors need to be more patient and find Jovetic and Nasri to feet.
F ine opportunity for Leicester to put themselves fully in command. Mahrez put across a low, right-footed cross but Rico did well to get down and palm clear when Slimani was set for a tap-in.

Nasri feed Ben Yedder in the right channel but his cross is hooked away by Ndidi. Okazaki is replaced by Islam Slimani as Shakespeare makes his first substitution of the game.
I f Leicester progress here, they will look back on that shot from Escudero smacking the cross bar as a turning point: Sevilla were a lick of paint away from being in the ascendancy.
The only consern for Leicester is the energy they have already expended. Including stoppage time there is fully 30 minutes remaining. F uchs harries Vitolo out of possession on the right-touch line.
Vitolo gives the referee a volley of abuse for not giving him a foul and picks up the statutory yellow card for dissent. W hat can Sevilla muster in way of a response?

S evilla dominating possession in the early stages, with Leicester behind the ball in two banks of four. Nasri is also picking up a more orthodox central midfield position to try and get the visitors flowing.
They have started very brightly. M ariano and Jovetic have replaced Mercado and Sarabria for Sevilla, which has them closer to the shape that worked well in the first leg.
Pro-active stuff from Sampaoli. T he former Man City playmaker has made the most passes in the final third of any player on the pitch, five more than Sarabria in second.
Nasris has completed 15 of Sampaoli will be disappointed by the number of unforced errors committed by his team.
S o important for Leicester to see out these final few minutes. Eventually Vitol works an angle to find Mercado on the overlap on the right flank.

Looks as if there was contact as Mercado challenged him but he stayed on his feet and stumbled on to lose possession. S evilla struggling to play out from the back against this Leicester pressure: H uth miscues a clearance over his own bar.
Corner Sevilla, and Huth clears. Mahrez gathers it and races away but Carrico stops him unlawfully and gets a yellow card for his trouble.
Both reams are happy with that: S arabia with an outswinging corner, and Rami meets it with a powerful header that grazes the top of the bar.
J ovetic connects well with a long distance shot, but Huth deflects it wide. S arabia is still a worry for Leicester. He cuts onto his left and unleashes a fierce shot, but it is deflected over the bar.
L eicester have done brilliantly to get back into this, but Sevilla still look very dangerous indeed when they come forward.
Mariano darts forward and the ball finds its way to Sarabia. He cross to the back post finds Vitolo but Schmeichel gets out quickly to save.
Leicester race up the other end with Gray, and he has Vardy to his right but gets the ball stuck under his feet and the attack falls apart.
The replays are inconclusive but that might have been a foul, you know. S evilla break and Simpson knows what he has to do. He stops the move in its tracks.
And well done, too. Jamie Vardy has now scored in: L eicester have more than a spring in their step now. They break with Mahrez going through the middle, and he is scythed down cynically.
F uchs does really well to leave a ball that fizzes across the face of goal from Jovetic, but Leicester are clinging on at the moment.
They cannot concede another. H ey, who knew it? He cuts in from the left and plays a pass that goes to absolutely nobody and a decent move breaks down.
A nd just like that, as Leicester start to look like they might muster a proper chance at some point, Sevilla race up the other end and go up.
He tip-toes into the box, and with three defenders in pursuit he squares for the arriving Correa, who makes up for his earlier penalty miss, poking past Schmeichel via the underside of the bar.

They are on the front foot at least. Straight to the bench. S evilla are dominating this game, firing in a total of 15 shots compared to three from Leicester so far.
C lever disguised effort from Sarabia as he tries to sneak a shot inside the near post, but it goes just wide. S ub for Sevilla. Centre-back Lenglet limps off.
Daniel Carrico replaces him. E scudero hits one sweetly but Simpson blocks. End-to-end stuff so far. S evilla go up the other end, with Vitolo slid in on goal, and his low shot from out wide nips the inside of the posts, goes across the line and away to safety.

Mahrez gets into some space on the right and dances his way into the box, but his cross is deflected up in the air and Rico claims easily.
Still, more positive for the visitors. The away goal Ranieri wants looks a tad optimistic right now. L eicester managed just a solitary, off-target shot in the first half.
One minute added on. Sevilla clear and Leicester win a throw but Mahrez sprints out, takes it quickly to Morgan and suddenly the big centre-back is taking players on in a right wing position.
A wful from Danny Simpson. He gifts Vitolo possession on the edge of his own box. He skips between challenges and lays off for Correa, who drills a low shot that Schmeichel does well to save.
The corner comes to nothing. L eicester are really missing Islam Slimani. Their players look terrified every time Sevilla enter their area, which they are doing an awful lot.
Correa drills a shot wide this time. S evilla are looking very comfortable indeed. They have barely been able to string a pass together and Sevilla are attacking relentlessly.
Here they come again and again and again. E scudero receives the ball out on the left and whips a wicked ball in to the back post where Sarabia is arriving, and he powers a header into the corner, leaving completely Schmeichel helpless.
S chmeichel is keeping Leicester in this. Escudero wonders forwards and finds himself on the edge of the box meeting a cross from the right.
He fires it back the way it came towards the bottom right corner but Schmeichel produces yet another good save. Fuchs launches it into the box, Sevilla clear and break, and this one is hotting up nicely.
Leicester win a free kick and Morgan has stayed forward for about 3 phases of play too many. J ovetic nearly gets across Simpson but the Leicester man does enough to put him off and his effort is skewed wide.Gefährlicher war aber weiterhin Sevilla.
